Wow, this only took me what, one year and 6 mths to resume blogging…. Lets hope this time it lasts a little longer…

Well, this lady don’t look too scarlet if you ask me, more purple…but I was pretty thrilled anyway to see my first morning glory greet me in the morning! Within a month from seed to flower! The numerous plants have all flowered consistently through out at feb and march, and the new ones have turned to seed pods…though I think it will be longer to wait for the pods to ripen… Definitely the easiest and fastest flowering plants to grow! =D

Look at all those healthy leaves!! I didn’t fully believe that morning glory shouldn’t be fertilized so the other pot which I grew along with green beans ( which give off nitrogen at the roots) actually really grew laaarge heart shaped leaves and very few flowers… I am now a believer… these days all I feed my glories is water…=) good thing I left this pot alone and fertlized it very lightly…but I think the pots is too small so I got quite a few tiny flowers which look cute heh heh…

I started off with the RoyalFleur morning glory, it is easy to grow and the germination rate is almost 100%, I didn’t plant it all but so far all those I have planted all came up =) They do have differing growth rates, but even the vine which did not grow very tall had flowers…

^u^ After the seaweed application the lemon balm is just springing up!The leaves give off a strong lemony scent when lightly rubbed between the fingers… Lemon balm is supposed to keep away mosquitoes so maybe I will try it out when the plants get bigger … =D

After almost four weeks those tiny little sprouts became somewhat more like tiny plants! ^u^ I have now started weekly doses of seaweed soaked waters to boost their growth… 

I bought the seeds at FarEastFlora and planted them end of January… The seeds were so tiny, that I thought they weren’t going to take… So I liberally scatterend the seeds in clumps ( due to my inability to spread them out evenly) and to my delight they sprouted after three days!
